“Oh no our defense is ass and doesn’t do anything based on the first 6 games” to “hey you can’t use the past games where we constantly sack the QB and force turnovers”

i don’t know if you’re stupid or just extremely unreasonable but i hope for your sake that you’re stupid, because if you’re this unreasonable in real life you probably don’t have and friends or family that like you and that would be sad.

Honestly, I have to ask what you consider as “cowardice”. Really seems to me like just saying we may allow a single touchdown counts as being a coward to you lol

Losing to Bama doesn't end our season but you'd think we'd need help. Getting blown out would be a concern, even if we ran the table the rest of the season. The let down of PSU is even more breathing room because I dont see anyone else in the BIG who takes their position. You have Tosu, Oregon, and Indiana. I don't think Michigan or Washington reaches the levels of PSU of last year. Nebraska showed us who they were last night. Georgia Tech / Ville is a concern because Miami is certainly a playoff team. If the ACC is more than a one bid league, we need help. But it sure wont feel good getting blown out tonight because even if we make the playoffs, can the defense hold up enough to go on a run against the best of the best? I know georgia winning helps us because of the loss but if we lose tonight, I hope Georgia gets beat by lane and someone else. That would for sure eliminate them.

I understand there was no way to prepare for losing both of your starting CBs, but sometimes that is life and you have to adjust.

Could McMurray not play at LEAST as well as Redmond at corner? Maybe better? Then we could start Boo at star. It seems clear to me that Perlotte and Spillman are faster than Tealander. They need more reps. And can we seriously not TRY to find some other guys at safety? If we dont want to move McMurray to CB, could we try Boo at safety?

It's clear what we are doing on defense isn't working.

Yep. On the HB pass that Bama tried we had the HB dead to rights 8 yards behind the line of scrimmage. I counted about 4 white jerseys around him and with arm tackling he was able to turn that busted play into a gain of 5 yards.

Tealander is really good vs the run. maybe he needs to play early downs because vs the pass he tends to be out of position a lot.
same with McMurray. he def has head-scratching moments. but so does boo carter

idk. i saw some names on jerseys tonight i’ve never heard of. did perlotte and spillman make tackles when given opportunities? i’d have to watch again. seems to me like there’s just no good solution at this point. DTs are also undersized IMO.

injuries and depth, though better than the past are still an issue. we are better but still improving!

They're poorly coached. Vanderbilt is playing better defense with guys we wouldn't even recruit so there is that. Basic stuff like lining up right and tackling shouldn't be a issue.. The linebackers have no awareness either. It's a mess.
