Impossible for any of us to offer unbiased analysis on what the average coach would think about the jobs at schools we hate. Might as well just be honest that we wish them nothing but the worst and move on.And I appreciate your honesty.
Makes much more sense than trying to convince me that Florida is somewhere below Vandy and South Florida in terms of college football jobs.
The previous coaches weren't coaching in an NIL landscape. Miami/FSU are more willing to spend in both high school recruiting and the portal and that makes it more difficult for the UF coach. They may make a slam dunk hire, but everyone is "a coach away" and the game has changed since their last coaching search.Since Meyer for sure. But even since Meyer, Muschamp had an 11-win season, McElwain won the SECe twice, Mullen had two 11 win seasons and won the SECe. Napier is the only one who has done basically nothing.
A coach away…
That’s fine if you truly trust the AP polls but let me not catch you on here moaning and groaning about the AP polls ever again because I will bust your as$I mean they did just beat Top 10 LSU and hold two Top 25 wins (SC being ranked at the time) to our 0. So yea, I actually would have to agree that they are in a much better position than we are.
Unfortunately we cant play man. That's why you cant call all out blitzes. Everytime we are in man-to-man somebody is getting burned for a 1st down.I kinda think Tim Banks is over hated, but man does he wilt in big spots. We knew our secondary was outmatched today. We knew they were outmatched against OSU in the playoffs. Why not send the house and just live and die by our all world pass rush? We sent four all night and dropped into coverage.
We probably played enough defense to win, but we needed to create more havoc in the 2H with how the 1H ended. Why not send the house and live with the consequences? I’ll never understand it.
While I don’t disagree, the soft ass zone gets picks apart by any QB with a pulse, even if you drop 7-8. You gotta take more chances in a game like this where you’re already playing from behind, at least in my couch QB opinion.Unfortunately we cant play man. That's why you cant call all out blitzes. Everytime we are in man-to-man somebody is getting burned for a 1st down.
Not to poo on you, but that’s the obvious point. As bad as our secondary has been, we’re losing all of them to the draft. I wouldn’t even blame Gibson for leaving with all the work he did to add weight over the offseason. He may not be a first rounder, but someone will take a chance on him and I think he could end up the best of this bunch in the NFL.We must spend big on the secondary in the portal. Has to be a priority.
Offense didnt show up enough tonight. 20 points was never going to cut it especially when the offense gives up 9 points as well. The defense was far from good tonight… but they only allowed 28 points with multiple 3 and outs and a TO. Shut down their run game. If you asked anyone before the game they’d assume that’d be enough to get us a win
I honestly trust the AP more than I do other polls, but I understand your point. Overall, I don’t care about polls until at least weeks 6+. By that point we have a decent understanding of who’s good and who’s a pretender. That’s fine if you truly trust the AP polls but let me not catch you on here moaning and groaning about the AP polls ever again because I will bust your as$
PS: LSU and SC suck bigger as$ than your ex gf
