I think an illustration is that they were willing to pay 50 million to tell their one-year-removed-from-the-playoffs coach to hit the road and Florida can't even stomach the 10 million they have to front to axe Napier. Since Florida is so serious about football, why did they extend a coach on his last leg with the fan base?

But the team showed some real fight from there

Tennessee is right now. We just went to the playoffs last year, plus we're in the SEC. Florida isnt a good job or program now. It's at one of it's lowest points, it's not a historically good program and it's dead center in the butthole of Florida.

It's not about Tennessee. I don't think any of us are trying to run Josh Heupel out of town. It's about Florida and why anyone would want to follow Billy at that job. The latest happenings appear to be that Boosters leaked a meeting to the press to put pressure on Stricklin to make a move this weekend. It probably happens but I wonder if coaching candidates will note that division. Plus the first call anyone at all interested in coaching at Florida is going to make will be to Dan Mullen. I wonder what he'll say...

Mullen hated recruiting, hated the entire NIL process and quit on Florida. If you want to call coaches regarding Florida, Spurrier and Meyer are close to the program and available.
