They were never coming back to play for this team. Ppl in the known have been saying it for weeks. Some people in our fanbase, not you directly, just can’t deal with that fact that we aren’t an elite program anymore. We don’t have the most money. We don’t get the best players, and we don’t have elite coaches. Actually, the only two elite men’s sport coaches we have are Barnes and TV. TV is popping smoke and Barnes can’t win the big one. What is killing me is that DeBoer is making it look like such a wide gap between him and Heupel and I don’t understand it. Sure he has the better postseason resume but he’s not that impressive.

Agree. Dont get it. And I know comments came across negative tonight. And I don’t like being the way. But this teams is far away from being a contender.

We are in the second tier behind Bama, UGA, Ohio St, Oregon, and so on. I thought we would be 9-3 or 8-4 team back in August. But then, I saw Joey in person v. Syracuse and then again v. GA and so on. So, my expectations changed. Plus, we have the 2nd or 3rd easiest schedule. Imagine if we had FLorida’s.

I thought we were closing in on talent but it doesn’t appear to be the case. Young or not, our D sucks. I don’t like our scheme. We playoff 10 yards off the line of scrimmage in 3d and 5.

I appreciate Heup and what he has done for TN. But he must make staffing changes in Defense in the off season, starting with a New DC outside of the program.
