Feels like a wish list of no realistic options to me in today’s college football sans Franklin and Golesh. Maybe Drink…maybe? But he already makes $9M/yr. How much is UF willing to pay that guy?

Who knows tho. Times are wild.

You don’t think Golesh would leave USF for Florida? Or Brent Key would leave GT for Florida? Or Franklin would leave the unemployment line for Florida? Don’t think UF could pull Drinkwicz from Missouri?

Quicker we make changes the better, womens basketball has a real shot at a title in year two. Tony always has a title contender. Rick will likely get his final four this year. Heupel hates change and making changes and Danny needs to force it. Without changes and we aren’t win if anything of merit. Big boy decisions have to be made if we want a title in football.

I think Drink, Franklin and Golesh would all take the job in a heartbeat. I’d be shocked if Key, Lea weren’t interested.

As for the more established guys like Riley, Kiffin, Freeman, make the call and see.

I know Brent Key has told several openings he's not interested and he is being told he is being given a raise. I don't know that he wouldn't leave for the right opportunity. I just remember reading where he had rebuffed interest from other schools and even told the AJC he wasn't leaving. I don't know that Golesh would take that job. I wonder how capable most Gator fans are at trying to take an objective view on the position of the program. You have a ridiculously inept Administration where corruption runs rampant and an Ex-AD really pulling the strings behind the scene and a completely incompetent figurehead AD who is the public face/fundraiser. There is no permanent president and the ex-Interrim just extended an AD who isn't the most popular with fans.

The UAA loves the sitution they have right now. They aren't going to relinquish the sort of control Alex Golesh would absolutely demand were he to leave USF. He has it as USF. USF is investing into football. He can take his time and wait for the right job.

This. If we want the hardware, we gotta tell our buddies goodbye. I’ve been there and it’s some of the hardest conversations I’ve had to have, but at the end of the day, you got a job to do.

GT has more resources and $$$ than people know. Big base that pays when they want.

Well, maybe we’ll just fold the football program due to not being able to pull even the guy who coaches a directional school in the same state to be head coach of the Flagship university in the state, and focus on basketball?

Drink would be another Billy repeat hire. If that’s who they get, I’d be perfectly fine with that. Anyone buy Golesh. I don’t want Golesh anywhere near Gainesville.
