I’m just over this sloppy, undisciplined, and lack of fundamental football. It’s Year 5. It’s one thing if we have a talent deficiency and can’t win. But we can’t tackle. We can’t catch. And we can’t play clean football. We should be better than this in Year 5 when it comes to just basic football ****.

Partly. This isn't the first game we've struggled with tackling. He the head coach of the defense. If he's not covering fundamentals with these guys after their previous struggles, that's a problem.

I'm not sure I've ever been this angry at a loss, save Georgia St. I've seen us outclassed and out talented against Bama many years. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like that last drive though. That was the worst effort and discipline I've ever seen a UT defense play with. Inexcusable.

Agree. It’s the same as the offensive pre snap penalties. It’s a sign of a weak minded staff leading an undisciplined team.

But with lockdown corners those guy don’t have to think as much about helping. A lot of times they are out of position they seem to be focusing on zones that aren’t theirs to cover and let someone go right by their faces.

Well….. considering almost everyone in our secondary shoulder tackles…. It seems pretty evident. If that’s not taught it doesn’t happen. If it’s taught it’s what they do. It’s obviously taught.
