Agreed. Running on 1st and goal and forcing yourself to not only burn the last timeout but take away your ability to run or throw on the last play is stupid. Throw on first down so if you don’t get it every option is available.

Even the Staley touchdown was on a pass that was misplaced behind him where the DB could have made a play.

It was a bad pass. Throw it to the pylon and it’s a TD or incomplete pass.

He was also under pressure again and rushed it because he knew he couldn’t take a sack. I still think that should have been the play call on first down. Hindsight is always 20/20. I’ll still ride with Heupel.

I can’t believe there are people that think it was a good play call.

It was not a "good" play call. It was predictable and put his team in a position to have to execute exactly right. No margin. But the play call still actually resulted in an opportunity to score. The pass was awful. If the ball is thrown high and outside Kits had pretty good chance to catch a TD.
