Heupel's personnel management is why I've never worried about Oklahoma trying to poach him.

We hear this every year. Sometimes a good coach has to do more with just good players. Plenty of teams have an elite defense with just good players.

Name one ELITE defense that has our SOS and a dramatically less talented roster?

I’d like to ask an honest question and I’m not being a smart ass. Bamas first drive, on third down, our Defense could not get lined up. That’s not player error, that’s DC error. How exactly does player talent affect that? 11 5 stars can’t get into formation if they don’t know what the formation is.

Banks and Martinez need to go ASAP. Elite talent is no excuse not to throw new things to try to make something happen. Sometimes you have to force the issue. We are already getting torched. Try some exotic blitzes or stunts. Heck, blitz 11 guys. Complacency is the issue. A good DC would’ve already realized that our plan isn’t going to work against Alabama and tried something different.

what do you suggest? we blitz and don’t get there. we play zone and they find the opening. we play man and they attack redmond who would be a 3rd team player if not for injuries and transfers
