The Official #11 Tennessee @ #6 Alabama Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, ABC

Bama was offsides on the 4th down too....
We cant get any calls.
Refs hugging Simpson before game
Mcelroy is calling the game.
And we have Banks' third down defense.

We are moving the ball in the flats, but critical errors are again rearing their face.

Can't do that with Bama and zebra friends. 4 penalties already on us, zero for Bama. And they've been lined up offsides at least twice that I've noticed.

Luckily we got it, but the 4th down play was criminal.

We’re moving the ball—penalties are killing the momentum. Oline needs smell some salts and wake up. I think we’re fine—but we need to prevent a td at least on this drive in order to stay on our game plan.

Bs homecooking call killed the drive
The calls are the norm there. We always get hosed to varying degrees down there. Having said that . . . Our uncanny ability to give up 3rd and 18 and our oline getting whipped is why we are losing at this point.

A turnover can change momentum.

We are overated
Biggest problem is our pass D.

Tennessee is ranked last in the SEC in pass defense. In other D we’re good but that pass D is killing us! Just look at that 1st Bama drive 3rd & 13 deep in their own territory, a decent pass D DOES NOT give that up!!!

I commented days ago that the was concerned about the trenches. Some thought i was way off, stating our I and D line are much better. Not seeing so far.

Two sacks and Joey getting a lot of pressure. No push on the two running plays.

D line - nothing so far.

There is something to be said about the schedule. Bama played lost @ FL St while winning @ UGA and @ Mizz.

TN lost at home vs UGA and beat a sub-500 Arkansas team by three. We beat an avg to good Ms State team in o/t on the road.

Bama has improved on both sides of the ball since game one. TN defense has regressed.
