That's just not MLB IMO. Everyone on an MLB roster is a veteran. Guys that, with rare exception, have been playing professionally for multiple years by the time they play their first MLB game. And then there's the 162 games. No one is playing 162 games with their hair on fire lol.

I just can't see it. The thing Tony is good at, that translates to the big leagues. MLB skipper is a middle management job. The guys that are good, are the guys that navigate the relationship between the players and the GM effectively. It's a foreign role to a college coach.

Rafael Devers has a $313 million dollar guaranteed contract. Good luck motivating him especially after first time CTV jumps his ass for not hustling... MLB players are totally different from the college guys... But I wish CTV well if it's true ..

Impossible. We have the same dealer and he's been dry for weeks.

On a serious note, this has been suggested before just after the plan for divvying up the revenue share pool between programs. I don't think Tony was happy with what portion baseball received of that.

Yeah he doesn’t seem like a good fit for a MLB roster. Manager has a lot less impact at that level. I will appreciate what he’s done for the Vols regardless of what he decides. It’s his life so he needs to do what he thinks is best.
