Yep. It will be blasphemous, but I honestly don't care about the game tonight....or even the rest of the season. This is the worst I've felt in my seven decades of following UT.

Danny and Tony could have sleepovers on every Friday night and share a milkshake and it wouldn’t have mattered.

Tony believes he can be a successful MLB manager. Tony isn’t the type who is going to listen to logic and reason if he believes something. As soon as SF offered the job he was gone

You and me both. I’m going to say a lot of dumb things today but I don’t care. I’m venting. It’s just an awful day.

Well this absolutely sucks. All that work on the stadium in time for us to not be on top anymore. I hope I’m wrong, but Tony WAS our program. And if DW is the reason Tony was looking to leave, he can go pound sand.

I don’t think you’re wrong. Elander is a fantastic coach but Tony built this is program. He’s part of the allure of players coming to this program and the national recognition we get. I don’t think Elander would do a bad job here, he probably would be a solid hire, but we won’t win at the same level as we have with Tony. JMO.

2nd highest paid coach behind a goat and far better program historically. Doubt it's DW's fault.

Bet he's already in talks with Rich Wallace for the job. Hey, at least we finally fixed up LNS and added seating. I can only imagine how great that will look without Vitello in the dugout. How many ways can the UT fan base be tortured? Seems endless and unrelenting.

IF Elander stays and becomes the new HC I think we’ll be fine. He was going to get a big job in the next few years anyway. South Carolina fans wanted him last year and still want him.

It never ends. I’m sure Alabama beats us 42-17 tonight but I don’t really care. Baseball is my favorite sport, I coach it, all the high school kids I coach wanted to play at Tennessee (none nearly good enough) just because of Tony.

It’s delusional to think we can carry on winning without him. The kids who want to be here don’t care about the Tennessee, just Tony.

I wonder if DW came to the conclusion that we can’t sustain being an everything school and started pulling some funds that previously would have gone to baseball.

Well,that's why hes been so quiet with the rumors about going to the MLB. He was actually going. He's going to find out that the grass isn't greener on the other side and it's a totally different game. Yeah,and there's also the best team money can buy in the Dodgers in the NL west.
