I hate Franklin more than most, but I actually thought that was a good move on his part. He got his side out there (that he was shocked), he said all the pc stuff (it’s about the kids), and he let it be known that he is dedicated to coaching and looking for the next gig.

I'm positive that will be a narrative. Not because the fix is in, but because the SEC refs simply do not call holding on the edge with the QB in the pocket. They don't look for holding until the QB leaves the pocket.

On the initial drop, the tackles can seemingly grab whatever they want. Kind of ridiculous.

Exactly, it’s Clinton-esque. He doesn’t directly deny that he called a timeout. He just implies it by saying that he was yelling that Auburn was clapping… which may be true, but is obviously not the part of the interaction that people care about. No reason to argue about whether it is a “lie” or not — it is intentionally deceptive and manipulative.
