I think it helps Joey that he came in this year and hasn’t seen years of this. He can treat it like any other game. And the rest of the team that’s playing more of a physical than cerebral game can use that passion to wreak havoc.I think a lot of the media hype is on games like OSU v Michigan or ND v USC, but for some odd reason the media hardly ever talks about The Third Saturday in October. Growing up with TN fans and Bama fans, even when Bama smoked us for those 10+ years, this was still the game that mattered more than any others. It looks like Saban is saying the same here. I’m hoping for a W tonight! I think Joey and company will be dialed in, I’m just hoping our defense comes through.
Nebraska is Tennessee 20-25 years ago very few top instate players. Both had to recruit on a national scale. Both were able to do so because of the resent history of winning. That changed for both. Tennessee got a bump in statewide talent and made some bowl games. Nebraska hasn’t seen the in state talent bump(honestly name the best Nebraska player of the last 10+ years??) The talent in Tennessee has drastically improved in the last 10 years or so. It’s sad really, when I was a kid I always rooted for Nebraska over Oklahoma.Man, Nebraska just can't drag themselves up off the mat. Will they ever be good again?
Agreed. No way Mateer should have played last week.Pressure to win is causing coaches or teams in general to rush players back when it’s not in the players best interest. Sad to see.
And can someone make sure Peyton sees the video from several pages back of that lady who has the Vol car with several players autographs in and on her car. Gotta believe if Peyton is aware he will make it happen.
Exact same scenario with my 10 year old when he was born. He was born at Vanderbilt, and man, when the doctor made the call, they cleared that room so fast. Scary moment but so joyful once he and my wife were recovered. We have 2 little girls. Second one born this past January. During labor the head nurse and all others attempted to figure out what was going on. Heart rate and breathing were starting to act weird, but couldn’t figure anything out (at least I think that was it…I also had the flu during this time so I was out of it). Doc came in and within 10 seconds she ordered an immediate c-section. Glad she did because my baby girl had the umbilical cord wrapped around her throat. If she would have been born normally she wouldn’t have made it.
Congrats on the baby girl! Hope mom is doing well!
He's morally bankrupt just like Saban.View attachment 782399

He eventually said "they're clapping" but he was yelling "time out" while making the time out hand gesture.
Kirby's the pride of the SEC and the coach that represents the conference. What's that tell you about Sankey and the rest of the snakes that run it.
It just means more.![]()
