Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

It’s TSIO gameday, ladies and gents!! I just have a good feeling about tonight. I know everything is stacked against us…all the numbers out there say we don’t win this game, but this team doesn’t follow what is supposed to happen. I think we show up big tonight.

Also, it looks like some money came in over night on us…sharp money? % money bet for Bama dropped from 72% to 62%.

And even they are suspect. They have grinders at RB but no game breaker. They lack TE's and that's why good defenses cause them issues. They can be run on, but teams vacate the run too quickly against them. They have 1-2 busts per game in the secondary. They have a coach that turtles up with leads late in games.

Beck is good but he is a frontrunner. If you can get a pick on him early, he tends to throw 2 more.

I think a lot of the media hype is on games like OSU v Michigan or ND v USC, but for some odd reason the media hardly ever talks about The Third Saturday in October. Growing up with TN fans and Bama fans, even when Bama smoked us for those 10+ years, this was still the game that mattered more than any others. It looks like Saban is saying the same here. I’m hoping for a W tonight! I think Joey and company will be dialed in, I’m just hoping our defense comes through.

Happy Saturday

October 18, 2025: You have fussed over many things as you try to perfect what is going on in your sphere of influence. But, all the fussing in the world will not get you where you want to go. What you need to do is yield to the moving of God's Spirit and believe that He will open doors that no one can shut, and God will close doors that no one can open. Jesus will lead you on the path predestined for you. Put your trust in the Lord.

Ephesians 1:3-6 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Waking up this morning and it’s feels a little different then normal on Saturday mornings
This particular game does mean more than the other ones. You can feel it if you’re a Vol or Bama fan.
Kinda feels like it did in 22 and 24 if I’m being honest…..

Go Vols!!!!!!!
Let's go

No respect. Maybe the most disrespect i can recall since Dooley

5 picks in 6 games, not bad but could be better
Have t seen a defense like this yet this year lol
Guess they forgot we played UGA

Im
About tired of this ****
The disrespect is unbelievable this week
Haven’t won there since 03….. seems to be one of the biggest arguments and that’s ridiculous

I hope we beat their ass
It’s about time to change this bama is king narrative
**** Bama

GO VOLS!!!!!!

Look at this schedule. If you cannot go 12-0 or 11-1 with a down Michigan and terrible Penn State, what are you doing in year 3? If they win out, they better not get in the playoff over a 3 loss SEC team or a 3 loss BIG team that plays Ohio State, Oregon, and Indiana.

Nebraska is not getting in the playoff. 0.0% chance.

I legitimately don’t understand how there isn’t any media that question the narrative for the game tonight.

You will hear them talk about Bama’s offense this and that and then passingly mention we have the #1 offense. Or they’ll talk about Bama’s three headed monster at receiver and then not mention our top 3 are ranked higher than their top receiver this year. They’ll talk about Simpson like he’s the best qb to ever grace the field and not mention other than td’s, Joey tops him in all categories. It’s infuriating and I hope the coaches have used it for our advantage tonight.

Same here!…it was prime time every October and now it’s like it was never a big game in the college football world…due to scandals, bad coaching hires and getting our ass beat for so many years…overall I think espn loved Fulmer a lot and how he was forced out left a bad taste in their mouth…a lot changed in how this university was viewed and respected after he was fired.the hate after that was continuous…definitely could be wrong though

Looking at only conference stats and I think our defense might be better than advertised. We have played the #1, #6, and #13 offenses in the league. Alabama has played the #6, #7, and #10 offenses. When you go out of conference, we played Syracuse with Angeli (#1 passing QB in college football prior to injury). Not saying Bama isn't better than those teams, but we have faced offenses up to Bama's standard.

The problem is that our offense might be overstated. We have played the #9, #15, and #16 defenses in the SEC. They have played the #3, #9, and #12. So, I believe our offenses might be similar with us holding a running game advantage. I believe they hold the defensive advantage and do not allow many big plays in the passing game. We hold an advantage on special teams. They will have the crowd.

I have said this before, but we better take the points instead of going for it on 4th down. Bama is killing teams on turnover on downs. If teams would take the field goal instead of risky plays in the end zone (GA and Vandy) they would've been in a great position to win.
