Dear Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, please watch out over these fans, the players, the coaches, and all who participate in this great event. May each and every one involved play to the maximum extent of their abilities, and may no one suffer injuries on either side. Whoever wins, may they be gracious, light up their cigars, congratulate the other team, and move on to the next one, and in all we do, may Jesus Christ be exalted and lifted up. And by the way, GO VOLS!!!!

Dear God from whom all blessings flow, may we also humbly beseech thee to grant our beloved Vols the strength to kick the stuffing out of the Tide.

The scriptural account read by Brother Maynard's Brother (played by Michael Palin) in the Book of Armaments:

1760805921767.png

"And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, 'O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies (Alabama) to tiny bits. in thy mercy' And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and carp, and anchovies, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats...

"And the Lord spake, saying, ''First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, the Alabama Crimson Tide who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.'

An addendum from 3rd Kings, "By thy hand almighty God we ask for divine guidance and strength. We pray that thy wrath be poured out on the Alabamakites. Give us courage to persevere and wisdom to trust your might. Let it be so."
