Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

Matt Rhule is more on Butch Jones' level. Frankly, I think Butch may be better. I don't know what kind of drugs the Penn State AD is doing to consider Matt Rhule a candidate.
Ya I agree. Maybe Rhule will be better eventually buts he’s something like 2-25 vs top25 teams and both wins were at temple vs G5 teams. He’s never beat a power 5 ranked team. In his one good season at Baylor he didn’t even beat a team that won more than 8 games

They're best friends, he hired Rhule at Temple and their families vacation together. Rhule also played at Penn State.

Bama has the best QB in ncaa football now.. bamas pass game is going to wear us out. Hopefully we can wear them out a little more.

I think he's great at turning around a bad program and making them good. He's not good at taking a good program and making it great.

He's definitely not as bad as Butch. He's never had close to the talent Butch squandered.

When I first joined this board, Stoops had just been hired at UK. I commented that I thought he would do well there and that they would have some success with him as HC.

Some people on this board labeled me a UK fan and I got hell for 2 days.

Sometimes, message board posters suck.
Say what you gotta say...there always people that are going to disagree with you...and there are always a few pricks that just want to crap on you.

We all catch hell over stuff we say.

Over the years I’ve grown to feel sorry for Nebraska. They are the embodiment of what Tennessee football would be like if we were coached by an eternal cycle of Dooley/Jones/Pruitt. But for them, they get excellent coaches who still can’t get them out of a rut.
It is weird...but I don't think they've gotten great financial support for the last 20 years, either in the old Bag days or in this new NiL era.
