✴️ Pick the Score Contest: Alabama

Tennessee 24
Alabama 38

Tie Breaker 378

I want to win this game so much. But with what our defense is showing on the backside I don't think we can keep up.

The first question is whether you think Bama's defense is better than Georgia defense. If you look at all three SEC games to date, Tennessee has not encountered any issues with racking up yards and scoring. I believe unless we just have the worst game we have had in the last few years, we will be able to move the ball and score. Not sure I buy the thought that Bama will all of a sudden figure out something that no one else has. Note: that was what Bama thought they could do in 2022, but they had no answer. Could that be the case? Possibly, but we are 6 games in and that has not been the case. If anything, we took our foot off the gas pedal.

The second question is whether you believe that our defense can stop the Bama's offense enough so that we can out score them. What has happened in all these games is that there has been a period in the game where our defense plays really well - in other words there have been pockets of time where our defense is able to force punts, cause turnovers etc.

I don't get the Bama is going to blow us out mentality. That to me are folks that are too caught up in the past and not anchored in now. I also don't get the thought this is going to be easy.

Unless the teams play very differently than they have all year - this should be a close game with the one that makes the less mistakes winning.
I’m anchored in the here and now. Bama will cover.

Unfortunately I see us on the receiving end of an Auburnesque treatment by the refs that will utter in sweeping changes at the end of the year to attempt to try to show a modicum of fairness.
