New York City

You did not read a 21 page pdf. And I am not reading it for you. Discussing and appraisal or projection is about as dumb as discussing how many more games we win or lose. It's meaningless.
I didn't read the 21 page PDF, but I know he found that the economic benefits outweigh the costs (whether or not one thinks that's reasonable).

I hear you on the second sentence, I was mainly pointing out that these other benefits are definitely part of the calculation and people have at least attempted to assign numbers to them. That PDF and its author are cited in Zohran's platform

You know I am suspicious of politicians in general. So this isn't a swipe at your guy, but I trust gas station sushi more than a projection cited by a political candidate.

Again, without numbers of bus fare revenue, it is impossible to accurately gauge a cost benefit analysis.

Definitely a thing that is happening, which is why NYC gains additional millionaires every year
google ai says the tax proposed is increase 2% on earned income above 1M annually which raises the tax to 5.9%.

Also says, he wants to increase corp tax 4.25% to 11.5%.

I oppose tariffs because those are typically passed on to consumer. I feel the same about many corp taxes and sales taxes. Do you think those types of taxes are paid by consumers?

@NashVol11
I think after researching it's worth an longer look. The stats definitely back it up. My question to you is 2 fold. Why do all the policies that you want in place affect only certain people and not all people?? If we are for equality the ln it should effect everyone..and free busses has not shown to affect the number of assault of rider on rider violence. So why lot something that will protect everyone as opposed to just the drivers (while it is effective). Also my biggest gripe is why should the hard working people of NYC sudisize the lazy that refuse to work?? Why is it the top 25%s job to support the bottom 40% of society most of whom refuse to work it Improve thier situations?

Free bus routes benefit the entire working class, as do most of his policies, which is why he's popular. NYC has plenty of money but hasn't always spent it on making its own citizens' lives better. I'm sure I'm in the top 25% and I take the subway instead of the bus but I have no problem with a mayor actually trying to improve the lives of his constituents

Do you generally lean more democrat-socialist or just align with this candidates specific ideas?

I lean leftist, not sure about the specifics of democratic socialism but more the former than the latter
You mentioned you are in the upper 25%.

Is there an amount of personal income tax you consider to be your upper limit and unwilling to pay any more?

There probably is, but I would pay an additional 2% on the highest bracket of my income (not that that will apply to me anyway, I don't make $1M)

I'm all for that..but not on the back of hard working Americans...I mean it's slavery in a different form...I'm not in that 25% closer to the 40...but I wouldn't want to you supprt my lifestyle because of the choices I've made.. I think it would be more accepted if he was making it a flat tax across all income levels

I think we all have a number or percentage in our head where we reach our Popeye moment.

I think some of those millionaires and corps he proposes to tax more will cross that number.

Not really. That situation could potentially result in the same amount of crime but fewer people get caught. This results in fewer assaults on drivers, period, not "the same number with fewer getting caught"
might want to check in with ICE and some of the protesting going on in general. lots of arrests based on people interacting with cops/agents.

the bus drivers are not in the wrong. the fare is not in the wrong, assuming no one was scamming. someone is choosing to assault them. we could also reduce the number of busses and routes by 40% to reduce assaults by the same amount. that too would just side step the issue.

His entire campaign was about prices coming down and immigration
I thought there was something specific towards New York. Trumps enough of a DA to mess up a sure thing. inflation was going down pretty dramatically until he wanted to tariff everything.

my monthly necessity spending is down from this time last year. no clue what is going on in new york, or how much of it would be the fault/credit of Trump.
