Just "knowing Jesus" isn't enough for him to actually be good and Christlike. Even folks who have made a career of knowing Jesus and bringing people into the fold will abuse and hurt victims if they do not actually do the work to be better people:Glad you mentioned Jesus. That's Jays hope....his only hope.
To me it is a fine line on the stings in that they have to be set up and carried out properly to stick, but the solicitor has every right & opportunity to end the conversation as soon as an age is revealed. The line that keeps it from being entrapment is revealing the age after the solicitation has begun I suppose. As long as an age is proposed during the initial sting and LE is setting it up by the book, then it's all on the perp and LE won't lose their case. There's more than plenty legal aged women in the world if you are into paying for sex at a seedy hotel. 100% against abuse of minors in any form or fashion. I think it's sick to think that's OK, so maybe I didn't verbalize myself well in my being on the fence. I'm on the fence because if the sting is not done properly you don't have a case and a sicko can walk.My issue on the entrapment thing is that the crime itself in this situation is imaginary. According to the news article, the girl wasn’t 16; The make believe 16 year old is a metro police officer. While these men may have intended to do wrong, they did not.
He was there to meet someone that he thought was 16. Yes, no one was abused but he knows why he was there and it was to meet a person that identified as a 16yr old for sex. A grown man that works as a High School Head Coach knows what he was putting on the line for this and he got caught. I'm not sure why you are defending those actions.
If it were a regular old prostitute, then it’s an embarrassing footnote and I could agree that entrapment is BS. Being told it’s a minor and still trying to go through with it though, I really don’t care that he was entrapped. Got what he deserved in this case, if this is true.I’m on the fence on these entrapment stings, but then again no one forces people to go on the internet looking for hookups to buy. But how in the world do people not know by now that LE sets things up and when the UC revels their “age” and you don’t immediately disconnect you have a 50/50 shot at being arrested.
I don’t get the mental disconnect thinking minor privates are somehow better than experience privates. Gotta be some mental disorder about power. Or the person is just plain sick.
You’re adding to that. The article said he was there before she “identified” anything. He was there to meet someone that he thought was 16. Yes, no one was abused but he knows why he was there and it was to meet a person that identified as a 16yr old for sex. I don’t give a damn about who it is. I’m arguing that the whole thing is role playing and nothing happened besides a money exchange. Why are we worried about former Alabama Assistant Coaches?
Agreed. I think we have alot of inconsistencies in how law is applied and sentences rendered. Even if you know someone is guilty. In Manson's case conspiracy to commit meant he directed it. He conspired with others to carry out his directives for him. Those people would not have been murdered without his influence/direction so he is responsible for the acts even though he did not physically commit them.I hear what you're saying. And have my issues with this "sting" stuff as well. I always wondered how Manson got a life sentence for "conspiracy to commit murder" when he never actually murdered anyone. Conspiracy charges normally don't bring life sentences. I'm not saying Manson wasn't a freakin' psycho, but the letter of the law is skewed in this instance, IMO. My point being... you can be arrested and charged for something that never actually happened. But I get it.
At which point he could have kept his money in his pocket and walked away and said you didn't tell me you were only 16 or I wouldn't have showed up. The arrest only occured after he handed her money. Like drug stings, money has change hands to stick or they have to abort. You’re adding to that. The article said he was there before she “identified” anything.
That's the part that does it for me verses whether or not it's entrapment. It was a supposed minor, and some point he was made aware, yet he completed the transaction with the exchange of money instead of walking away. Wrong and sick. Not like he was 18.If it were a regular old prostitute, then it’s an embarrassing footnote and I could agree that entrapment is BS. Being told it’s a minor and still trying to go through with it though, I really don’t care that he was entrapped. Got what he deserved in this case, if this is true.
Police said Graham allegedly responded to one of the ads and engaged in a conversation with an undercover officer posing as a juvenile. The undercover officer identified herself as a 16-year-old.You’re adding to that. The article said he was there before she “identified” anything.
I can’t believe anything could realistically stick besides the solicitation part, unless the girl was actually a minor. I think everyone has moved past this “identifying as” farce. At which point he could have kept his money in his pocket and walked away and said you didn't tell me you were only 16 or I wouldn't have showed up. The arrest only occured after he handed her money. Like drug stings, money has change hands to stick or they have to abort.
Exactly, He was literally trying to have sex with a child. He's the definition of a Predator.

Graham and the undercover officer agreed on a price of $120 for sex, and Graham went to a Nashville hotel room. There, he gave the undercover officer $120 and was immediately taken into custody, according to the MNPD.
Graham’s bond is set at $45,000, police said.
What exactly am I adding? Did you read the article?
