2025 NBA Draft and Offseason

…ugh. Not sure he’s ready. Amen

You need Amen and Sengun to both level up a little, and you'll be fine with ball-handling in crunch time. Especially since KD makes it easier to get a decent shot when nothing's happening. I'm not even sure FVV would've been a constant in your crunch time 5.

Amen
KD
Smith
Sengun

DFS/Reed/Eason

They can make a trade, too. FVV's contract is a nice number, and they have picks.

Definitely a chink in the armor, but Ime seems to be able to adjust on the fly. The roster seems extremely tilted toward the post position at the moment. I’m betting they seek to bolster the pg position. FVV was the only sole designated pg on the team.

If they can just figure out how to hide Reed on D* and let him play the passing lanes, then mostly play off-ball with Amen on offense, he could be a pretty legit threat by the end of the year. They are going to need shooting with Amen and Sengun on the floor, and if he's just in that Mario Chalmers role, but shooting 45% from 3p, it's going to be interesting.

*which they should be able to do with all that length in the other 4 spots.

Lowe was talking with Chris Ryan about their favorite non-finals teams of the last 15 years, and when Lowe was teasing his top pick, I knew he was going to say the 2014-15 Atlanta Hawks. That was one of the funnest teams ever. They were putting defenses in the blender with their scheming. They struggled to make the ECF in a weak East and then got swept, but a big part of that was Korver's shoulder needing surgery.

A timeline....

- Russillo announces he's leaving The Ringer.
- Billy stops having RR as a guest.
- RR's producer Wargon leaves show.
- Every time Wargon is mentioned, RR says "who?" which leaves me thinking Wargon left with no notice, or something.
- Friday, I finally find out Wargon taped a goodbye message, and Bill Simmons made them edit it out.
- Final episode today, I find out Ceruti (RR's right-hand man and a Spotify manager) is leaving with RR.
- Furthermore, Bill's nephew Kyle is leaving with RR!!!

Bill must be so hurt by all of this. But who cares. We got 75% of the Life Advice crew still together.

I still can't believe Russillo is going with Barstool. He takes himself as such a serious dude when it comes to sports (which is mostly good), it just doesn't fit in culturally. Other than the PMT guys, has he ever done anything with other guests? Maybe I'm just lazy overall, but I can't think of a cushier job than what he had.
