Would really love to win this one. Defeating bammer and the birmingham office seems like a tall task. Hopefully the team comes out with their hair on fire and makes it impossible for the refs to take over the game like they did in Jerjaw vs Barn.

Something interesting that I’ve noticed is twice now when we’ve struggled in games we shouldn’t, we’ve lost the coin toss and didn’t receive, thus our game plan immediately got taken off the rails. I don’t know if that’s because the other team scored first (I know Arky did, but can’t remember of MSU did) or because we didn’t have a plan for the defense starting on the field. Either way, it’s an odd observation/fact.

We stopped MSU on a 3 and out and then Staley muffed the punt.

We have to have to have to…and I cant emphasize this enough… HAVE TO score first and quickly. If by the grace of God we win the coin toss, we need to elect to receive and score first so bama cant play their game. Bama’s offense is a dink and dunk offense that chews a lot of clock, but simpson panics under pressure. We need to dial up blitzes and hope we can get home fast.

I just dont trust Banks or our defense is this game though. The refs will play a factor too, unfortunately. Im expecting the worst so I can be pleasantly surprised if by the Grace of God we do win

This is a true strength vs weakness game. Our best game plan may be to control the clock and run the ball, but with Bishop’s availability unclear this might be where our O sputters and we get thoroughly embarrassed.
