2026 Lady Vols Recruiting

Maybe the recruiting momentum we thought we had is just that.......a thought? Unless of course we get Crittendon and Minus!?

Huge difference in the consensus value of those two though. I’d be happy just to add Crittendon to Edwards. We need difference makers only this year with such a large 2025 class.

I don’t think so ? Our one commit did what most players don’t do and give a verbal early ! Most take several visits and then commit or even wait till signing period ! Or wait till others commit and then go where they want to go based on where others are going !

After the first signing period is over … then your statement maybe correct ? Ever since coach got to Knoxville I have been pleasantly surprised! We needed bigs and she got the best one … and maybe some more bigs to come ? So far so good …. The signing period is November! Then we will see?

I disagree. It’s not as simple as Caldwell offering the best players. As mutual interest is shown, relationships develop and needs are negotiated. Once both parties get to know one another better, decisions are made. Caldwell knows what’s best for her team…and it’s not always the top tier players who are the best fits.

Yeah I get that and understand that maybe they're not gonna be 5 star or 4 star players. Caldwell does do good job towards the end of recruiting periods so maybe I'm just impatient and I need to see how she does at the end of the 2026 recruiting cycle and the portal of course...

We had a #2 overall 2025 class per KNS.
We have a 5 star for 2026 committed - the best available recruit at our greatest position of need for 2026.

The items in bold are examples of facts, the items not in bold are examples of opinions.

Not necessarily true. If they hadn’t thought they were at the top of the list for big O, they would’ve directed some of the time and resources to some other recruits. They would’ve signed someone. I’m sure they had a plan B. To their credit, they turned out not to need it.

for once in over a decade, it is nice to sit back and not wonder whether the coaching staff can land top recruits. we can't get them all but there is no doubt CKC has a master plan to deal with whatever comes our way. if we sign another player or two we will be fine. there are plenty of things to lose sleep over in this world BUT this is NOT one of them. go vols.

Yep. We had a poster who speculated that we were going to sign the top 4 prospects in the country (or something to that effect) backed up with the assurance that the poster was smiling and way too many folks took that, "hey. I just bought a lottery ticket so I will soon be a multi-millionaire" optimism
as the new baseline. And now this thread has degenerated into complete irrationality. CKC has the number 2 2025 HS class and has a commitment from a top 5 HS recruit for 2026 and we have laments. She is so far ahead of schedule on recruiting that everyone should really be dancing rather than whining.
