Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I saw a film breakdown today that said it best about Banks. He understands schematically why banks is trying to do what he calls (especially on third down), but seems to lack the knowledge or care to understand his team and personnel. This year's team is not good in zone and playing the sticks well. Stop trying to force it and do what they do best and adjust to your personnel.

This is why I think Heupel is one of the best offensive minds in football. He adjusts his offense to the personnel and plays to their strengths depending on the talent and personnel.
Exactly. Or we can do more soft cover 3 against less talented running teams so they can come from behind and challenge us.

Buckle up for what happens to us Saturday. I really hope we have a 7 to 10 point lead or more come to fourth quarter, because I want to see what the SEC will do on the heels of last night to try to protect Bama.
Since Heupel arrived, we have had 6 fewer penalties than Alabama across 4 games.

Now, the home team tends to have a big advantage each year. Hopefully our OL chills on the road. That's been our one oenalty achilles heel.

Can we just not even talk about it? We know what's going to happen. So just punch them in the mouth enough.

Interestingly, ND is looking better by the week. Considering how they crushed Arky. Then NC St. But moreso those close Miami/TAMU losses aren't looking bad at all at this point. And yet I wouldn't be surprised if they blow one down the stretch.
I could see them losing to USC this week.

I mean... can PSU actually do better than Franklin?

Who are they going to get? Can they poach anyone good if Cignetti doesn't take the job?
The guy averaged 11 wins/yr the last 3 seasons and had 13 wins last season.

Every school think they should be peak Bama these days and never have a down year every so often. It's wild.

Florida fans have been finding that out recently.

If Penn St goes to Cignetti and he says No then I think the chances of Nebraska being able to pull him away (if Rhule left) are slim to none. JMO
I don't necessarily disagree with that. I'm saying if Rhule is #1 on PS board, as is being reported, and he goes there...one, neither of us will know whether or not Cignetti would turn PSU down. Two, if I'm Nebraska, I go offer him whatever it takes. If it takes 11/12 million, Id give it to him.
