The Official Tennessee Titans thread IV

So, how does any of this work? With MM not having a job (assume it's him for the sake of this post) Could we theoretically install him today, or do we still have tk do interviews and satisfy the Rooney rule?

And while you can’t just ignore the results but the only two losing seasons during his Dallas tenure were the 2 season Dak was injures and they didn’t have their starting QB.
I know Jerry wanted a superbowl, but id take Mike's run in Dallas in a heartbeat. It easily be the best or one of the best in franchise history.

I thought the conventional wisdom when the season started was they would promote from within if/when he got fired.

I’m not talking about bringing him in now yeah they’ll have an interim from the current staff but I was talking about bringing in MM as the full time guy this off season.

Do yall truly trust Amy and her band of merry men to hire the next coach?
We discussed that about 3 weeks ago. There was some indication the new GM team is doing better than what we had seen previously.

Doesn't matter in the long term. She isn't selling so ownership change is moot.

I guess theoretically they could. They still have to do the Rooney rule.

ProFootballTalk mentioning bringing in Mike McCarthy right now in season. I don’t think that’s ever happened but I could be wrong.

Just give McCarthy the full-time job if he's interested. He's old but is lightyears better than whatever up and comer we could realistically get.

The team is absolute ass and needs someone to just stabilize it at this point. And I say that as someone who typically hates retread hires.
