Alabama's defense isn't great, their offensive line isn't very good, but their QB and receivers are scary. We will have to have a better effort from our defensive front 6 or 7 and defend the quick passing game better. And please do not leave Ty Redmond alone against anyone. I've given up on McCoy coming back until December if at all. We can definitely put some heat on Simpson, especially if Hobbs is in there (is he ok to go?).I’ve watched both teams all year, and Ty Simpson is a solid QB but he hasn’t played against a pass rush like ours.
Bama is not run dominant. That’s good because our rush defense is not good. Our offense is too good for their defense.
Football is like Boxing in that styles make fights. Bama doesn’t match up well with us imo.
I’m worried about referees in Tuscaloosa honestly. These referees need some accountability. In fair called game I like our chances in Bama.
We will score some points on them no doubt. The problem is we won't be able to stop them enough. You give us last year's defense against the run and I like our chances. If Petrino doesnt go in to dummy mode in the second half by trying to throw the ball on 1st down they beat us. He put his team constantly in obvious passing situations which plays to our strength in rushing the passer. If Bama's coach is smart at all, I doubt they do that this week.Missouri ran all over bama in the first half. They haven’t played great defense either this year. At least ours gets after the quarterback and has created turnovers. That has been overlooked by many. GBO
If Tennessee finishes 10-2 with losses to Georgia and Turd- two of the top teams in SEC at moment. Tennessee is in playoffs. If they go 9-3 that will be another issue. If we don't beat Bama, I'm not sure winning the rest of the way and being 10-2 may be enough to get into the playoffs. They could be our signature win we need.
nope.
Ty is gonna smash mouth our defense. We still dont have a linebacker
that can cover flair passes and screens.
We are just smart enough to know that our defense is garbage, and bama will show how bad our pass defense is.The thing is
@StuckInBamaVol , and others even confess that they knew jackcrap if Tennessee wins.
This isn’t 2020 Alabama, and Tennessee plays complete football in spurts. They just have to maintain that longer each game.
We do that and our defense goes from Swiss cheese to Kleenex in about 2.5 quarters. Our best bet is to run warp speed offense to try to score as many points as possible and a four man front on defense with some variation of a blitz every down. I’m sure we’ll go to a three man front with soft zone coverage, though.
We need Bama to fumble 3 times on their side of the field w a sprinkling of false starts and holding calls.I’ve watched both teams all year, and Ty Simpson is a solid QB but he hasn’t played against a pass rush like ours.

I have NOT seen us lose a game on the field this season. Our Georgia game was poorly managed from the sidelines. I HAVE seen Alabama get it's assed whipped by a 3-3 unranked Florida State. They barely got out of Georgia, and they just eeked by Missouri. I suppose some people want to raise a white flag before the battle begins and gaze lovingly at their Ty Simpson poster. I, like the rest of us, believe that we have not reached our peak yet. We have a great team that I believe will represent itself well in Tuscaloosa. We are not better than them, are you nuts
I think you’ve drank the Alabama kool-aid.This is your worst take yet.
Ty Simpson will smoke us passing. You thought our run defense was bad, just wait until you see how bad he smokes us over the middle.
They win by at least 10. Yes, Simpson is that good.
Yes, we will bring pressure, but it will absolutely not be enough.

Did u watch our defense? Simpson may have 400 passing yards.I’ve watched both teams all year, and Ty Simpson is a solid QB but he hasn’t played against a pass rush like ours.

We are a good team, we are not great. Just be realI have NOT seen us lose a game on the field this season. Our Georgia game was poorly managed from the sidelines. I think that our defensive ends can be the difference. Looking at the FSU game, Simpson is a different QB under pressure.I’m not being negative, but Bama’s 3rd/4th down conversion rate will be insane unless our defense makes a major improvement this week. Our corners and DB’s will have to have career games which is all possible. Likely, unfortunately no but I appreciate your optimism.![]()
