Too close to yesterday's game to make a prediction. I'll just say every game is different and has a life of its own. I hope next week's is better than this week's.

We have got to get the plays in quicker to avoid delay of game and false start penalties. There were a few times, at home no less!, where it seemed we didn’t know what we wanted to do or had a player jump because they were getting owned. Will be worse at bama. Can’t afford to mismanage time, timeouts, playcalling, etc

3rd down success is going to be the key to the game imo. Our defense is actually doing a pretty decent job on 1st and 2nd down, but gotta get off the field when we have the chance.

Offensively we weren’t very good on 3rd down yesterday. Some of that was penalties on earlier downs, but either way need to be better there.

Why in the world is Bama favored at 74%?

Tennessee - 50
Turds - 28
We're barely scraping by lowly Miss St and Arky, while they're barely scraping by ranked Vandy and Mizzou.

They beat UGA on the road. We lost at home.

They're at home.

They should be ~9 pt favs imo.

We can certainly win, but we need the offense we saw vs UGA's stout D and a much improved defense. I'm not terribly confident of either after the last 2 games, but I'm hopeful we can put it altogether. It seems we are both playing up and down to opponents this season.

I want to be a homer and say we win but I don't see it. Our safety play is terrible. Boo Carter just jogs around out there and is a liability. Telander is slow. And as good as our offense can be sometimes, it also gets stuck in the mud quite a bit.

I want to be optimistic that our down field passing game will give them fits. Missouri played them close and they lack a down field passing game. So that could open some stuff up. But they also have arguably the best RB in the nation and it looks like our best RB will be dinged up.

Alabama might be without their best running back - but they still have a lot of talent in the backfield including 240lb Daniel Hill. We've especially struggled vs bigger backs.

I want to be a homer and say that after tough, physical games against UGA, Vandy, and Missouri in back to back to back weeks, that Alabama might be coming into the game limping a little. But I don't think there will be any kind of let down with it being a night game vs their biggest rival. They will be up for this game.

On the flip side, I'm am hopeful that we come into the game a little crisper than we did yesterday. I don't know why, and this could be fake news as I haven't looked it up, but I feel like we struggle coming out of bye weeks with Heupel.

Its sunday. I'm sure by Wednesday I'll be feeling better and by Saturday morning I'll be posting that we're gonna wtfa. But as I sit here right now, this feels like our second loss in what hopefully remains a 10-2 season. Losses to uga and alabama are two "good losses" by the way. Whatever that means.

I’m not seeing why everyone is so scared of Bama.

They look good, not elite.

Ty can sling it a little bit. So can Joey.

They’ve been good vs the pass. Not good vs the rush.

They’ll score. We’ll score.
Bamas not the problem…we are. Our defense has sucked all our confidence out.

It’s personal for me. I can’t stand Bama and all the cheating that is allowed to keep them winning. I hope Josh tells Timmy he had better play man coverage and send pressure all night long, and hit Ty until he quits, or else he will find a new DC after this game.

Geez bama fans are so stupid. They think playing Georgia, Vandy and Missouri was harder then who Florida has had to play

We have to have to have to…and I cant emphasize this enough… HAVE TO score first and quickly. If by the grace of God we win the coin toss, we need to elect to receive and score first so bama cant play their game. Bama’s offense is a dink and dunk offense that chews a lot of clock, but simpson panics under pressure. We need to dial up blitzes and hope we can get home fast.

I just dont trust Banks or our defense is this game though. The refs will play a factor too, unfortunately. Im expecting the worst so I can be pleasantly surprised if by the Grace of God we do win

Bama- 30
UT- 21
Something interesting that I’ve noticed is twice now when we’ve struggled in games we shouldn’t, we’ve lost the coin toss and didn’t receive, thus our game plan immediately got taken off the rails. I don’t know if that’s because the other team scored first (I know Arky did, but can’t remember of MSU did) or because we didn’t have a plan for the defense starting on the field. Either way, it’s an odd observation/fact.

I have noticed this too. Yes MSU did score first. Seems most games we don’t get the ball first and go down and score to start the game, we struggle. Would have been interesting to see if we would have gotten the stop on defense first and then scored, if game goes the way it seems too for us when we get the ball first and score…which is we usually roll.

Our strength on D is when we go after the QB we can get pressure and sacks.

Has anyone forgotten 2 years ago?
Their O line held on every play, got 0 flags and we couldn’t get to the QB when they put our pass rusher’s in a headlock on every play
