Gamblers are all going big on Arkansas

This always leaves me with a sinking feeling. The line has shifted down to -10.5 Vols suddenly, and it seems like a ton of gamblers are hammering Arkansas instead of Tennessee even after that shift. What do they know???
It is impossible for oddsmakers to judge the effect of what has happened in Fayetteville over the past two weeks. Team stumbles. Head Coach Fired. Asst coach and former head coach named temporary coach. He fires just about the entire coaching staff. What the hell??

Who on this earth can "predict" the repercussions on this group of young men? Their coach probably has them believing that today's game is the Super Bowl game of their life. Make a statement. Leave a legacy. Be somebody.

I have not felt comfortable about this game since it was scheduled a year ago and all that has recently happened really does make it impossible to handicap. Vols have the better team, but emotion has won many a game.

Give it you ALL Vols - gonna be a dog fight in the trenches.

I think Penn State losing to the new UCLA staff will cause the Tennessee coaches and players to take this Arkansas game and the new Arkansas staff more seriously. That and the fact that it's a revenge match make it unlikely Arkansas is being overlooked for Bama and not taken seriously.

I seriously doubt it. They are taking Arkansas seriously and that game has no influence

It means likel a far tougher day than many of us expected. Those folks do not make a lot of mistakes —-far less than than half rhe time.

Actually that's not true. The best professional gamblers try to hit a little over 50% in terms of win rate. The idea its far above 50/50 is a lie.

With that said when lines move this much the gamblers are usually right. I think this will be the exception. I don't see us playing a close game against Arkansas. Our offense is too explosive and they look like a team that's given up. Gamblers are looking at the Notre Dame game as the exception rather than who they actually are.
