absolutely not
Our second d-line rotation has been struggling to stop the run. It's why we've been letting teams catch up in the second and third quarter.

Plugging running lanes up the middle forces teams to throw more. We already lead the country in sacks, so getting teams into 2nd and long or 3rd and long means you have more chances to get the quarterback, force more turnovers and negative plays, and you can get the defense off the field. This is huge since pretty much everyone is running a no-huddle now.

I really wish McCoy could get healthy enough to come back, but I have more faith in our second string corners than I do a bunch of 280 pound 18 and 19-year-old DTs playing against SEC offensive lines

Well if he is limiting explosive plays, he has been horrid at it this year so far. Biggest issue with banks is getting his dang defense off the field on long third downs and not letting a team convert fourth down. If he did that, we would be a top 25 defense right now before getting healthier. I don’t think he is ever going to change his soft zone on third and long though. He hasn’t in years. It worked with McCoy and Gibson, but it isn’t with Redmond and he needs to adjust. IMO
I mean, he does have a better 3rd down defense than Bama, Georgia, South Carolina, Michigan, Vandy, etc with 4 starters out., and is coming off a season where his defense was top 10 in pretty much every important statistical category.

The dude lost a first and second rounder to the NFL as well as some of his most experienced DTs to graduation and is playing a bunch of guys who were in high school a year ago. We're only 5 games in. Good teams get better as the season goes on. And we're a good team.

Success of Vols Basketball team has got them plenty of Primetime spots this upcoming season on T.V. .... I understand some of you like the 2:00 p.m. games on weekends and the 7:00 p.m. on weeknights but those days are gone with the success CRB has brought to Tennessee.. so suck it up buttercups...

October 8, 2025:

There are still things that need your attention before you can move on. Take an inventory of what needs to be done and move in the direction of dealing with those things. It might not be easy, but ignoring what you do not want to do will not make it go away. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again. Isaiah 43:18-19: Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert

I was at this game in Little Rock. Coldest game I’ve attended. Below 30° at kick and got colder as the game went on. Wind was a big factor. Expected to win big but struggled.

For the life of me, I don’t remember Peyton catching a pass tho.

I was there, too, as a 17 year old. I remember it being cold along with all the empty liquor bottles clanking to the ground. That stadium has a metal incline under the seats from top to bottom, and all you have to do is drop your empty bottles, and they funnel all the way down.

Coldest game ive attended. Someone thought a night game in late november would raise the crowd. Nov 25 2017, three or four rows from last seats in top bowl of Neyland. It was gusty, in low 40's, upper 30's.

We proceeded to get whipped, by Vandy.

I remember the coldness of those aluminum bleachers.

My FiL was there, and seldom says a word. He'd had enough.
