Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

I have to say though...Vandy was really holding badly early in the game, and I was really surprised it wasn't being called, but then the call came in and the Hitmen called a couple and put the kybosh on it.

Vandy backed off enough to satisfy the zebras, but they were still pushing it all game...I was surprised they didn't get several more
We won’t get that luxury of the game being called like that.

Is Arkansas the only fan base that calls Tennessee "Tenner"? I don't think I've heard that anywhere else.
Kinda like the west TN folk pronounce it TEN-uh-see but make it even more redneck sounding than that?

If so, they’re ones to talk. The Ozarks are equally redneck as the hollers of TN. I can attest as I’ve got roots in the Ozarks same as the Upper Cumberland.

Only difference is we don’t squeal like pigs.

Texas is adding a consultant for the offensive line. Texas fans want to know why they didn't go to the portal for offensive line help. It's inexcusable for their line to be that bad. The blue chip prospects they do have, do not look like they've been developed.
FAHR ELARBEE!!!

My wife and I will hit 12 years on Nov 2. We have a 5 year old and a 9 month old.

We planned the fall wedding that year around that season’s football schedule. The Vols then, were not what they are now. But we still planned it on an “unimportant” historical weekend knowing that would not always be the case.

Go Vols.

It's about that time of year when UF makes a miraculous turnaround and starts beating everyone to give Zook Bubble Screen Billy another year.
As long as their magic fizzles out on 11/22/25, I don’t care.
Of course it would be really funny if they beat uga to keep uga out of the SECCG.

I am fine with any other SEC team that makes the SECCG against Tennessee. Now if uga does make it, I don’t mind beating them in that game. Or in the playoffs or actually if we just meet them at waffle houses throughout the world. 😈

Dare I say our run blocking will be much better once we put Moe next to Heard and Perry next to Sanders? I think it will.
I think we're primed for the stretch. Excited for our offensive line, to see the combination they originally set on, wanted to go with. With that said/if they do move Perry in for Sham, applause as big Sham heads back to the bench as a valuable/better back-up. I dont dive into film; but, by watching the game and how the overall O has looked, I'd say he's played well, held his own. I do know that along with Van Dorselaer's, it was Sham's block that sprung Bishop in OT. It was Heard's man that got hands on Bishop.

Excited to see what Perry can do on the inside. Will say this, if Perry is a drop off at G (I'm not expecting him to be), I'd think about going back to Sham, and moving Perry in behind Sanders permanently. Perry has played very well at RT, and that may be his future. Sanders moves to LT next year, Perry moves back in at starting RT...we could possibly return our entire starting OLine next yr/5 starters, even with the loss of Heard. I'm very happy going into next yr with an OLine of Sanders, Sham, Sam, Moe, and Perry.
