Genuine question about the bolded above. What makes you think that? The average return time for the NFL is 13.6 months for RB and WR and 11.6 months for all positions (I reference RB and WR because it more similar to the physical demands of CB than say a lineman); if he were to return right now at 8.5 months, that would mean he recoved 37% faster than the average NFL WR or RB. I agree it's possible and has been done before (I would consider it more of an edge case statistically), but it's definitely not the standard. I just don't understand where this idea that because he is an elite athlete with elite rehab facilities, its a given that he should return already.Yeah he won't be safe from rightful ridicule if he never plays this year. Ya can't be out sprinting on August 8th in full practice gear and say you still weren't ready to go about 4 months later.
I have faith he won't screw over the team, but I don't see how he's not practicing yet considering...he's what 21? elite athlete and has the best rehab you can get.
I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that, while yes, people like AP have much more access and knowledge that us fans — that still only adds up to 10-20% of the actual information on the team. When are people going to learn? These "expert insider don't know any more than my wife, in fact she probably knows more.
