He’s not wrong about us cutting it close with MSU. Texas AM blasted them. It’s actually embarrassing how we let them score so much.

Agreed, but that was all on us. We pretty much spotted them 21 points off of dumb mistakes. That was a tough road game too with those stupid cowbells. Had it been at Neyland and without the 3 dumb mistakes we run away with it. Not to mention that was an emotional loss for them and tough to turn around and go to Kyle Field after.

Many things play into games but comparing teams against each other doesn’t mean much. FSU isn’t better than Bama and UCLA isn’t better than Penn State, but it only takes one time to catch a team napping. Hopefully it doesn’t happen to us.

-Tennessee will cover the 13.5 and then some.

-We haven't been playing very well and we are in a transition. UT is a very good football team and will cover comfortably.

-If our normal defense shows up, Tennessee will hang 70 on us.

-I honestly don't see another win on the schedule this year.

-I would assume Vols can name the score, etc…But I’m old enough to remember the 1992 game under somewhat similar circumstances.

-For anyone that doesn't think we can't win this weekend, remember what UCLA did to Penn State. Anything is possible.

-On the road at UT is a tough place for a discombobulated team to start over. I predict a UGA 2021 type scenario.

-Yeah, I would like to think this could be a Joe Kines 1992 at Knoxville type surprise upset, but I just can't realistically see that. If we just play with a little passion and intelligence on both sides of the ball and make a few less stupid mistakes, I'll take that and move onto the next week.

-We are more likely to beat Tennessee than we were a week ago. TN coaching staff will have no idea what we're going to run. What if we come out in a 3-4 base with aggressive blitzing and man on the backend? Or we could stick to the base 4-3 but blitz up the middle? TN will be scouting in game. I wish we were playing a more beatable team like MSU or Auburn but if the team plays well and TN makes some mistakes, anything could happen.

-Their field being the same dimension, may our 11's play well enough to cause them to toss more mustard than Birmingham and any frenchie franchise could possibly pay for... Go Hogs Go !!!

-I'm pulling my double reverse jinx bingo card for this one. After controlling the game for 3.5 quarters, but failing to put the hogs away, the TN QB will inexplicably cough up the ball as they are trying to run out the clock. 28-24 Hogs.

-Did you watch the Tennessee vs MSU or Auburn vs Oklahoma Games?
While watching those games I was thinking I'd rather play Tenn than MSU or Auburn.

-It's college football, upsets happens all the time. Arkansas CAN win every game left on its schedule, BUT the defense has to improve DRAMATICALLY, and the offense can not turn the ball over. Even then, it is a stretch seeing this team win more than 3 of it's last 7.

-Alot on the line for Bobby Petrino. He's wanted to be in this position since 2011. Guess we will find out if the defense is fixable and if the offense can play big boy football.

-I think the Tenn/Ar game will be a more competitive game than we had vs ND. Both teams had bye weeks. Tenner only has film on Pittman's team and T-will's defense. Neither will be there. I'm an Arkansas homer and I'll be pumped by game day. I am Not going into the game thinking we are going to lose. Hopefully the players will believe they can win also. I bet Sam will be pulling for the Hogs too.

-Expect this one to be a rock fight. Tennessee isn't some SEC spectacular that some are making them out to be. They almost lost to Miss. State for gods sake. I feel like we get a couple of advantages and we flush that trash dump stadium. GO HOGS!!
Dude I lok foraward to these. thanks so much for always posting them---would be awesome if for big games we arent involved in, if we got those to. I wanna see what Penn State and UCLA fans are saying lol

Bet my left nut we hang at least 40 on them like every other team we have played this season. Probably hang 50 on them. I will be there with my daughter thanks to the kindness of another VN poster who has season tickets. We should have both of our starting DTackles back. We have had 2 weeks to heal nagging injuries too. Theres no way in Hell this team scores 40 points on us in Neyland. Cant wait for kickoff. Go VOLS

This last swine calling Neyland a “trash dump stadium?” That’s rich, even by trailer-trash redneck Hog standards.

This the comment pertaining to them running man, I think that could backfire on them if their dbs are not solid.

LOL. "That trash dump stadium" Tells me he only wishes ARK had something even close to what Neyland is.

Neyland is a shrine. Reynolds's...well...a pig sty.
Yeah...that comment tells me he has never attended a game in Neyland! We can go back and forth on the teams etc....but the stadiums? Nope...not even close!

Yea, Tennessee also almost beat Georgia…funny how fans - including us vol fans - are very selective on which facts we want to hang our hat on…

I think Arkansas is potentially a very dangerous team - especially if we give them hope early. Our best bet is to shut down their rushing attack (2nd in SEC) and force Green to make the mistakes he didn’t make last year…and on offense, we need to pound the rock and keep their offense on the bench…

I'll be honest; this one makes me nervous. A couple touchdowns and defensive stops would dissipate those nerves pretty quickly, but they're there. I hate that we're their first game post-Pittman, and coming off a bye no less. The fact thay we're at home gives me comfort.

Now I'm wondering who the officials will be more than who we're playing. All it takes is a couple of botched calls.
So please name the refs you would like for this game. Tell ya the refs that will call a completely fair game. Tell us the refs that won’t miss holding calls all game just like EVERY SINGLE REFFING CREW IN THE NATION DOES.

Would never happen but hear me out: What if we looked Bobby's old flame Jessica Dorrell up. She's coaching volleyball at some podunk school in Texas. It cost UNC $300K for Ludicris. I figure we get Jess for a quarter of that. Then when the team emerges from the tunnel, Josh Heupel rides in on a Harley wearing a leather jacket with Jess on the back. Arkansas players may side with us and throw the game.

No context needed. The end result was a win, but it was ugly.
A&M looked beyond horrific on offense until the 4th, i don't like agreeing with bot, but hes right.

States already banged up oline got banged up worse last week and they had to turn around from a tough overtime game and go to an absolutely syked kyle field.

A&M looked significantly worse than us on offense and they didn't have to hear no cowbells

so yeah, theres context

Vols averaging 40 against legitimate competition. Arkansas will be legitimate competition.

So...UT at 40, plus 10 or minus 7. Depends on the intangibles. Including the officials.

Hogs get 30, plus 7 or minus 10. Again, depending on the intangibles. Including the officials.

So, 42-28. I trust those numbers like I do a fart at my age...
