After further review, it was amazing and so obvious how NICO “stared” down the receiver(s) that he was throwing to last year. From the very snap of the ball. All it took was a line-backer to look where he was looking & cover it.

One great thing about Aguilar - he “scans” the field quickly and then takes whatever is available. His quick decisions & a better view of the entire field are definitely noticeable— And a reason that he has had so much success.

(BTW: I am not a Nega-Nico…. Just an observation between the two QB’s.)

Same coach; Same system; — Two different players…..

I’m just happy about the way that things have all worked out. — GO VOLS!

That’s what happens when you don’t have the mental capacity to process things quickly. That’s why he’s not successful at UCLA either, and won’t make it in the NFL. Sad fact, but true.

Though I'll be over at Bama/Vandy or TX/UF, opportunity to see him in primetime today.... good probability PSU has a stadium take over @ Rose Bowl similar to us last week at MSU, as they travel well, like Volnation.

Thanks I may watch some of Nico later today. The ucla games are similar to the Vols last season. Extreme difficulty to score in first half, inconsistent touch on passes, difficult field vision etc.

Nico will be a future feature on an espn special featuring his/family demands and skipping practice and having a showdown with Coach Heupel over honoring previous agreements. The incredible story of Joey replacing him in essentially a trade and Aguilar’s success contrasted with the UCLA implosion is fairly amazing. An analysis of the demanding father and whole tribe moving to Knoxville and later his brother trailing to UCLA is a miniseries actually. Contrasting the quality of coaching with Josh, Haisle, Landry Jones and Littrell with the now-fired UCLA crowd is rather comical. Anyway this whole story could go more downhill week to week as UCLA remains winless and Nico’s stock drops not only as an NFL prospect but as a player in demand to transfer to any major conference university.

it is an NIL soap opera and an amazing saga of a man who had everything - who threw it all away in an act of temporary madness and possibly being washed up at age 21. I have a tough time visioning any secure college coach offering Nico a starting position or getting involved with the old man and family circus.

You never know if Nico can survive to play another day or just be among the many 5 star busts who for whatever reason flame out. The fascinating part of this story is family greed and overplaying his hand was purely a self inflicted downfall.

Nico's processing speed was terrible.

Sit a 70 year old and a 19 year at a computer to process information and execute a simple task, then look at the results.

Milton vs Hooker is an example of this. As well Nico was slow and you could not fix it, you could hedge. He slowed down the offense and could not read defense. When Milton got here he was slow.

Dad blamed the OL for the sacks, no it was Nico. I am sure that Milton was much of the same but grew. He made the NFL and has played great in preseason games. I am glad he is gone, he appeared to be a bad infection in the locker room.

I don't know how he is at Coin Flips. DAL vs GB overtime.

Nico does have some talent., but I have not believe it is anywhere near NFL level. Physically, he can play the game. The problem is his inability to process the mechanics of game situation.

Love the upgrade in Joey, but want to have more success and win games, especially against Alabama, Florida, get to the playoffs again yet advance

I'm going to take a whole raft of the business here...but I'm actually pulling for Nico and the Bruins today to pull the massive upset.

They do that and knowing that Piss St likely has one more loss coming to them on the schedule knocks them out of the CFP...which in the long run helps us and the SEC.

Nico didn't seem to possess much drive to win or get better. If the team went 3 and out, so be it. Compare his on field antics to Joey, Vandy's QB , or any other QB in the SEC and notice the difference. Just going thru the motions

I wouldn't write off Nico from the NFL. He needs to improve with his vision, but he does have some great intangibles. In the NFL, the ability to stand tall in the pocket and also take off if needed will at least get you a few years, maybe 7-10 years as a back-up. Probably not too different than a Collin Kaepernick.

I never read anything about Milton being a bad teammate. Everything I read was quite the opposite.

We got lucky in spite of Nico. I wish we'd gotten that lucky when Kiffin left us at another inopportune time. Imagine a world with no Dooley at Tennessee.
Is the Nico you’re bashing the QB who’s 14/18 for 158 yds and 2TDs in the 1st half against the #7 team in the country? The one who has also run for 51 yds & a TD? Is that the one?
