They’d likely end up right outside of it at #11. With how the trends in poll movement generally work each week, they’d need help from someone else in the top 10 (or the #11 team, Texas Tech) getting upset for them to fully get into the top 10…unless they were to beat Alabama by like a multi-score blowout (which, after last season’s game, isn’t going to happen unless Alabama just fully implodes on itself).

They still have to play LSU, Missouri, and Texas all in a row after Alabama. Their spirit’s already going to be very broken during that stretch. You don’t really need this game for that.

I think Alabama wins this game by two touchdowns.

I think Vanderbilt is a good team, and much improved, but the hype around South Carolina was unfounded.

That said, talking heads have been ready to proclaim Bama is back so they will act like this is a heavyweight battle. They are really to market for Alabama and put Simpson in the Heisman discussion. A single Georgia win does that for you.

Put 5 figures on Alabama -11.5. Anyone thinking this will be less than a 30 pt game is delusional. The worst line I’ve seen in 30 years of sports gambling.

My wife graduated Vandy. She loves UT and to keep the peace, I try not to be a jerk about the football stuff….but honestly I hope Bama hangs 70 on the Dores today. Puck Favia - I hope he chits and falls backwards in it
