Pleurisy might be a better example, since I’m sure we shouldn’t be paying for non-citizen vaccines either.

Hospital has to weigh its interest in getting paid versus diagnosing/treating the kid and then being able to counsel parents to keep them away from infants and the immunocompromised who can’t be vaccinated.

That will cause public health ramifications that nobody in this conversation seems to have considered.
