Y'all Kentucky absolutely cannot fire Mark Stoops. I haven't checked their boards tonight. I bet they are hiring a new coach already. Mitch Barnhart signed Mark Stoops to a stupid guaranteed contract when he flirted with A&M and it's completely untenable for them to eat a buyout when they are in the hole so bad the Academic side had to loan the Athletic Department 141 million dollars.

But Mitch might have the safest AD seat in the league. Everyone involved in that program at the executive level love Barnhart. Their two boosters like him too but not enough to outbid Deacon Barnes for players. There are a TON of safe ones and many might surprise you. ADs have been entrenching themselves in these Universities. VT can't get rid of theirs.

When Josh Pate was on Colin Cowherd’s podcast, Pate said the best/easiest job in the country is in his opinion, Kentucky. He said the pay is great and the expectations are low. He literally said Stoops has the best job in the country.

Before today, Max Gilbert was the second-most accurate Tennessee kicker in school history for anyone with more than 8 attempts.

After tonight he dropped to T-3rd with Chase McGrath (2021-2022).

The only 2 kickers more accurate? Charles Campbell (2023) and Alex Walls (2000-2002)

So y'all get that Max Gilbert criticism out of here. Kids a sophomore and has the potential to play in the league if we as fans don't ruin his head.

It is not a coincidence that three of those are Heupel kickers. He doesn’t make them attempt very many difficult field goals. Max is. fine kicker but we should never ever put the game in his hands if we can help it.
