I don’t think it was clock mismanagement. It was just scared, chickenshit, playing for overtime….terrified of msu having even a Hail Mary attempt type coaching. Getting Joey for Nico was a gift and if we’re gonna do anything with that gift we gotta play to win and stop this playing not to lose crap.

And one more thing. Let’s not experiment anymore with punt returners. It shot us in the foot twice to start the game and gave MSU momentum. We can’t give the opponents hope!

Defense really stepped up

They gave up net 20 points to an offense that averages 40.

Defensive scoring was huge today, because offense was not converting TDs as much as usual (blame the zebras for 1 of those being called back...CB should be pissed)

I will take it. Any win on the road in the SEC is good. Also don’t forget the SEC officials literally stole a touchdown from us. Get rested and get healthy and try to make a run for the playoffs. Go Vols.

I’m still frustrated with the end of regulation and the overall execution of the game. But rewind the clock Post 2001 and Pre Heupel, we don’t win these types of games. And looking back two weeks ago, UGA, the far better team athletically, had to go to OT to snatch a win from us. Good teams play games and still find ways to win. We’re not fully back, but damn we’re only a few steps from the top. Go Vols!!
