I would agree the media as a whole tends to bias to the left of center, wherever that is, due largely to the fact that media employees tend to be college educated at a percentage higher than the average and college educated persons trend left, overall.

But my biggest complain with these bias ratings efforts -- no matter who is doing them -- is they assume there is either 1) an actual objective mid-point, from which one reliably and consistently rate coverage as left or right of it; or 2) a point that enough people would agree is exactly in the middle that it can serve as a substitute for an objective midpoint.

In other words, its all relative.
