So...our coach that you sound ready to throw away schemes up a devastating attack on two of the best defensive minds in CFB with iirc 17 5*s and 25 4*s and beats them with all that elite defensive talent sitting on the bench...except our really talented really reliable kicker having an extreme brain malfunction at the worst possible moment...and you want to trash him?

Truth is Heup did everything right. except go out and kick that field goal himself. Anyone who doesn't understand that doesn't know ball. Kick a damn field goal.

Why it's so perplexing to me is his mechanics are so awful. You have 3 high-level QBs in your family and your mechanics are that bad? Is Sark coaching him to ignore his uncles? I'm jesting but wow. His accuracy is GOING to be bad with those mechanics. His footwork is awful. 3rd year in the program and that's what you trot out there Steve Sarkisian? It always puzzled me he chose Texas. I've never been impressed with Sark as a coach.

It’s going to be real interesting to see what Sark does if he continues to play this poorly. The fans are already calling for him to be benched and booing him. If he were a true freshman or something it would be different. But by year 3 he should absolutely not be as bad as he is.

Yes, but the fans always think the backup is better. I know the guy's name is Manning, but if the backup was better wouldn't he be playing? Didn't the backup get the same coaching? Arch has the physical ability to get it done. Heck, he looked BETTER last year. He's regressed under Sark. That's concerning to me if I'm a Texas fan.

I agree but I think a lot of Texas fans feel he’s being given a much longer leash because his last name is Manning. I also agree that he looked better in his limited action last year. His mechanics look totally different this year.

He probably is. I mean that makes a ton of sense, there are outside corporations involved with that situation and who knows what terms they have in those contracts. College football has changed and athletes are going to get longer leashes pretty much everywhere. You see it already.

He's in his 3rd year of being coached by Steve Sarkisian! It seems those issues would have been nipped in the bud a long time ago. Carson Beck is a stud. Georgia wanted to keep him. He struggled his last year with Georgia because the talent surrounding him wasn't up to historic Georgia standards.

He’s an injured true freshman. If not playing in three games is a disappointment, that says more about expectations than it does about Sanders.

OL usually take some time to be ready for the SEC. Getting any play out of a freshman is bonus and exceptional.

Still....something about game time play. He's still young.
Beck just looks stronger and more "polished" IDK?? I'm no expert. Just looks better to me.

Cristobal let's Beck sling it around the field.. Kirby kept Beck on a short leash wants a Game Manager more than a QB..
