All I ask do not blame kicker

He nailed the 48 yarder in OT, but missed the one that mattered. I just don’t understand why Heupel threw Gilbert out there right after we lost 5 yards. That only increased the pressure. Why not try to get a little back on 3rd down?
My thought was: GA KNOWS we were going to just run up the middle and eat clock, so why not throw one downfield while they're not expecting it?

This game should have been over prior to that .
HAHA - If you are not blaming the kicker for this loss, then don't carry a kicker and go for it on 4th downs and go for 2 every time. The pressure got to Gilbert, and he choked.

You guys just dont like Heupel. Just admit it. This team had zero business being in this game but he put them in a great position to win. Kicker and Umarov choked. Simple as that.

Heupel isn't Kirby Smart but he is arguably the 2nd or 3rd best coach in the SEC. Outside of Kirby (or Saban if he came back), I wouldn't trade him for any coach in the SEC. Frankly, I don't think that I would trade him for any of those guys.

Then why don't we demand elite coaching?
We just went head to head and toe to toe with a team that’s bigger, faster, stronger and deeper than we are. We have elite coaches or Georgia would have killed us. It was hot as hell on that field and nobody quit . Everybody gave their all for Tennessee today and we came up a little short. I’m not ready to crucify anybody.

Heupel was the goat. That 5 yards moving it into over 40 yard range is a mind Fk to a Kicker
Heupel didn’t cause the false start. I rewatched the final drive in regulation. We were moving the ball well until the Kitzelman first down stopped the clock. We got out of rhythm after that. A shot to end zone would have been perfect call at that point. After the false start penalty I would have been afraid to do anything other than kick it. You expect to make it. Oh well, drunk drivers win again.

We are so freaking lucky to have him, and these morons just want to run our savior out of town. I hate this fanbase sometimes

Not with Kirby having timeouts at that point

That’s part of why I’ll get over this quickly. Joey’s a solid QB, made some mistakes as expected in a premier SEC game and made some great throws. We can win with this kid. I just need a few mins to get over Josh’s bad decisions late in the game. Just very mystifying. We should’ve won, but we’re fine and this could be a really good season.
Well I won’t get over it. You cant give away a win against a team like that at home. They are too hard ti come by and you can’t waste a performance like that. So many chances to finish it and not even need that kick. Trust your team to do what they’ve been doing. So many times in that game they went away from it, and it angers me. No excuse to lose this game. Lots of season left. Good team, good coaching staff, etc, but an absolute gift of a win to a team I hate.

On Georgia game tying touchdown, 4th and 6 Banks brings No pressure!!! I blame him!!!!
There is plenty to go around, and Gilbert did miss the kick, but there were many chances to win that game so Im not going to solely put blame on him.
