The same time went off whether we threw 3 times or ran 3 times. We went 3 and out. That was way too conservative at this point. Had that put us up 9, maybe. Not 8.

That’s on the coaches. When you milk the clock, you can’t keep the always-hurry-up-no-huddle up tempo style going on each snap.

Unless they got worried after the first false start about the offensive line having to stand in place so long and accidentally stopping the clock again, you have to run the full clock if that’s what you’re doing (or at the very least actually huddle up and use some of the clock).
