That, though, I completely agree on. There has to be a non-tempo means of running plays here to eat off more than just a minute forty seconds.

Only thing I can think of is the false start killed the coaches’ confidence in doing that without the linemen doing it again and stopping the clock after having to stay in their stance for so long.

They really need to go huddle in these types of cases; it’s a fault of always-hurry-up-no-huddle offense scheming.
