Let’s further examine this post. Clearly, Big Nordic Guy was jesting with a translation of “My bad, I took French.” In Spanish, one would say, “I’m sorry, I studied French instead of Spanish,” or, “Lo siento, estudié francés en lugar de español.” Now, would a Spaniard shorten that to, “Lo siento, estudié francés,” leaving “in place of Spanish” implied?Mi mala, tomé francés.
