Competent black pilots have been flying for the airlines for 50 years. Just because they wanted more blacks doesn't mean they didn't meet qualifications because they were black.My father was a bomber pilot in the USAF and helped spur the hiring of qualified black pilots who otherwise had been passed over for simply being black.

I'm in an advanced dance class for which you could never qualify

Yes, they have been, but when an airline makes a percentage based on race or gender during the DEI movement. Your anger should be directed at American Airlines and not Charlie for calling it out.

Totally repsect your position and what you say your dad fought for.

However, if a company says they want a certain percentage of employees to be a certain way, but don't express that they must be qualified, vehemently so if a pilot, or that standards won't be lowered to acheive those goals, then i'd have to be leery of their qualifications. And it doesn't just have to apply to black employees or pilots. Otherwise I say go for it.

Public executions, can you imagine how today's youth would react to a public execution. So many young people up there taking selfies creating their tick tock videos. Laughing cutting up drinking beer eating pizza it'd be a big blowout party for them. We're pretty lost these days.

i’m not sure the context of the LBJ and Michelle quotes but the the black pilot was bc an airline stated that it was going to be their number one reason for hiring a pilot. Who needs safety and qualifications. I get tired of landing at my destination safely and on time with these white pilots. ( Rob schneider joke)

See folks, people on the left use projection. They take what THEY think about things and then say that about Republicans. Projection is an argument used by weak minded people and also people that cannot support an argument with fact! Or in this case, both!

There is a happy middle for firearms, but that ain't it. Neither is restricting firearms the highest capabilities.
