Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

that has been a major thorn in the side of every romantic relationship I've ever had
It is a natural human reaction though, so it’s understandable. My wife and I still fall into it sometimes. What we try to do is make it a point for the other to call it out and bring it to our attention. When that happens, we step back until we are ready to actually discuss what needs to be discussed or apologize. Does it always work out that way? No, not really. But we try our best. We also have a few other mottos that help, and I even have them printed on the fridge as a reminder, lol.

Kirk was murdered for one reason and one reason only ... he was relevant and he was effective and that was an unacceptable fact for his killer and those other weak minded individuals like him.

Just can't help yourself, can you ? There was one shooter. You dont identify these other like minded individuals. You just use it to ascribe to millions of people the act of a single person. Shame on you.

Wonder why that is?
honestly I think it is more so because the left is spread out in age demographic. People tend to gravitate towards the right as they age (esp in the south). I know most people get their news now from outlets on TikTok, X, etc (according to my brother who is currently at UT).

I do agree with the fact we shouldn't use a moment like this to project political views. I have seen a lot of people on my TikTok/Twitter/FB voicing he kinda deserved this. I think this is who that person was referencing. That kinda person.

The real problem here is timing. To turn a man’s deathbed into your political chair isn’t discourse, it’s exploitation. This forum has endless opportunities for self-expression and sharing opinions. Choosing the moment of someone’s passing to do it doesn’t show empathy; it exposes the emptiness of the cause you claim to care about. You are using a sad cause of someone else to drive your political narrative.

My wife and I have a saying: “When one of us brings up a problem and the other changes the subject to something we did in the past, that’s not solving anything, it’s just dodging responsibility.”
There was literally a school shooting today. Not sure if you heard or care. Bad timing I guess.

Dude…how can you of all people be finger wagging about this? 😂

It is inherently dismissive to disagree with an argument only with, "That's _________." Using a pejorative to shoot down an idea, without a valid explanation, is the textbook example of arguing in bad faith.
Tell us you have only seen edited clips of Charlie without telling us that is all you've seen.

then let's start a discussion thread on that. I do care about that topic and will gladly discuss it with you if you wish. Give me more info on it and I will start the thread for us.
