Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Wishful thinking. This Democrats vs Republicans BS is worse than the Race wars in America today....

Race wars? What race war or wars?

I am a white man with 2 black sisters. I promise you that none of us are at war with ANYONE of this world or country. I don't even know of anyone in a "race war". Because it doesn't exist.

TURN OFF the Leftist Media. Do not believe the lies on ABC,NBC, CBS, CNN or even FOX. FOX has never said there was a race war in the US...but they do lie also. Turn that crap off. Get to know REAL people around you. They arent at war with ANYONE unless deployed over seas in the military. Give God a chance. Go to Church man. God is LOVE.

I will pray that you see the truth and tune out the lies. God bless you and yours

No one should die from gun violence except where it was absolutely required in self-defense. However, if I had to choose who would die from gun violence between a kid just trying to go to school and learn who gets gunned down by a mass shooter and a blow-hard far-right political instigator who made his entire living off of raising the political temperature to where it is is now and who said that gun violence is a worth it as the price of admission for having the second amendment, I know which lesser of the two evils I would choose.
Lol shut up.

If larger and larger groups of people feel oppressed and demonized by others… violence inevitably follows.

I’ve seen people compare this to MLKjr… MLK got in people’s faces (figuratively) and advocated for peace and equality. Kirk got in people’s faces too, but was he advocating for the same kind of thing?

I wouldn't compare this to MLKjr but will add that some of what MLKjr advocated; particularly content of character instead of color of skin is directly contrasted to the orthodoxy of intersectionality and it's foundations in DEI philosophies. IOW, he was saying things that quite a few on the left would find highly objectionable and they may not consider that fighting for equality.

well, you cheered me up a bit at least
I look at this forum as a microcosm of the larger conversational sphere. We go off on each other occassionally. We have our petty partisans. But the choice to hate lies solely with me.
Our "leaders" are getting worse. If we are to find respect for one another, it is up to us.

A man that founded his organization at 18 years old and was likely a future Conservative candidate to be President of the United States assassinated at 31 years old.

This is RFK for our time.

Get your head out of your 🫏!
I agree and thought similarly.
This could have ramifications and impact to our country in ways that we never even know.
This single incident possibly just changed the entire history of this country.
🤷‍♂️

was he posthumously found to be innocent of corruption charges?
that video ****ed me up for a while

I think his lawyer tried to get the conviction vacated after his death, but I don't think it was on grounds of him being innocent.

I remember national news running it with the terrible pixelated blurring, which some how exacerbated the horror of what we were all watching.

He said his own death is a sacrifice worth the second amendment. I strongly disagree. Sorry, I have more sympathy for kids who don't condone gun violence and still die by the gun.

Does it matter what tool was used? Violence is violence and when you loons use the label “gun violence” you cheapen the lives taken by senseless violence.

Show me where Charlie Kirk has ever got in someone's face.

Not to be callous towards the man, but why do so many of you feel an emotional connection to Charlie or his murder?
For me (and many others) it was partly because of the video. Another parts is I'm also younger 30s with a child and I broke my knowing they won't have their dad for their big life moments and how much I want to be apart of my kid's big life moments. Lastly, I'm a science teacher in the public school system that leans right in my political beliefs. I keep quiet and don't talk politics with my co workers fearing ostracization. So, I admired him going to college campuses and having open debates with people who don't agree with him

My wife has been crying.

I am sorry brother. Honestly, i clicked on that twitter post of him and his little daughter running to jump in his lap and my eyes started leaking too. In a post he made about faith, family and leaving a legacy. Those poor kids will never even remember their Daddy alive. His oldest is only 3. Their loss is immeasurable. It is worthy of tears and so was Charlie. God bless you and yours bud.

Well, that's silly.
