Our offense felt clunky with both Joe and Nico. That's the best way I can explain it. Like it was missing a couple cylinders.

When Hooker played, the offense was humming. Everything was smooth. It feels that same way with Aguilar. Hopefully he just keeps getting better with more experience in the system and the team & coaches gel. We could be looking at a team that's as good or better than '22 and we just don't realize it yet.

I'd like to see more of Daune Morris. All for him taking Peyton Lewis' carries. Not giving up on Lewis...just think Morris looks the more explosive and dynamic of the two.
I'd like to see more than 3 carries out of Bishop. He must be a stud for the coaches to keep the miles off him til the bigger games.

Your list is much more about who's played a decent opponent and who hasn't. Bama won by 70+ points this week. I guess if you're literally just looking at results for the first 2 games without any nuance or context, you could put them bottom half because they have a loss. But saying Bama is the 2nd worst in the SEC just makes the list hard to take seriously. The FSU loss was not that bad.

Again, make your own list.

Not trying to be contentious, there are just so many posts about Bama being terrible because fsu beat them, I projected a lot of those on to yours.

Fair, they're not bad and I put them low because F them and Florida... both should be top 8 range IF they play to talent on roster. We all know that, but I'm going to **** on them while they're down cause it's what they deserve!

"hollywood" is a business comprised of a few studios/major streamers that have operating costs and shareholders that need satiating. dont go looking to hollywood to satiate your need for an artistic, original story. their job is to make money, not fund Jim Jarmusch flicks.

Original movies come out all the time, and the past two years have been particularly prolific for good original stories. Malick, Ramsay, Bigelow, Reichardt, Claire Denis, Jarmusch, Spike Lee, Borgli, Luca Guadagnino, Chloe Zhoe, Ridley Scott, Sean Baker, Lanthimos, Corbet, PT Anderson, Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Coogler, Celine Song, et al, all had original films come out in the past 2 years (or are about to release). A couple of them had more than one. This is just a small portion of American indie releases, not to mention world cinema. There will always be great original stories coming out but it comes down to a few factors, 1) do you know they exist, and 2) are your local theaters playing them? and I guess 3) when they stream/come online, would you watch them?

I really love movies and I sometimes get a lil annoyed when people see commercials for some slop hollywood remake or sequel crap and assume that is all they have available to them when in reality there usually are a handful of great American independent (even studio!) filmmakers releasing films at your local theater every month. Go see Eddington if you want something original. Weapons is still playing. There's a new Darren Aronofsky playing. Splitsville looks funny. idk man, try before you cry!

also, you dont like King, at all? The Shining?! Misery? Shawshank? Green Mile? Carrie! ...It?

xoxo

*also. . . since we don't know if they're '22 level good or not, I'm just gonna assume they are, so I don't look back and say "I wish I realized how good we were early in the year, I would've appreciated it more. . ."

We would need to travel to Asheville to see any international film, or film in which honestly where the audience isnt white anglo saxon. Its always been that way.

The writers strike along with Covid killed the production of quality movies, for a spell. While I do agree things have gotten better in 24-25. Movies in Hollywood have been stale for a while, like a decade.

And no, outside of the Green Mile. Stephen King films are a big fat, nah for me. Just my take.

Thought it was interesting that Justin Baker ran before him yesterday. Morris has the talent (hence being out on kick and punt returns) but he might be picking up the small things slower.

RB room is pretty impressive and deep right now.

It's obvious 2 things are happening...

Bishop = knows the offense the best, and is the one they're trying to keep at full health the most
Peyton = knows the offense well but either isn't full health and they're trying to get him more reps but also not over work him...or he's still not doing certain things well
Star = talent wise might be the best, but obviously isn't as familiar yet with offense compared to Bishop/Peyton so he's getting more work to get him up to speed faster

Morris/Baker = all talent right now but man you can see they have something

Any of the 5 behind the 1st team OL could put up numbers I think

Definitely our deepest position.

Completely agree. When Merk came in, I got the same klunky vibe.

100%

If Joey can advance extremely quick in his knowledge of the offense and not make mistakes I have a feeling there’s potential to be better than it was with Hooker. Joey looks like he throws better over the middle and on mid range touch passes than Hendon. If only he had more than this year maybe Heup and Joey could have the time to make this version of the offense better than that year.

I am hopeful Georgia wasn't just sandbagging Austin Peay and are actually kind of not good. Marshall lost to Missouri State and is 0-2...so going into this weekend with some optimism, should be the best shot we've got to beat the Dawgs under Heupel.
We will get their best game!!!
Every year they look like crap against a few teams but we play em and they look like a championship team.

Remember Ole miss destroying their O line and we thought our defense would dominate it, and we couldn’t .

Don’t be fooled by them.
We will need to play mistake free and our best to win.
It’s possible .
We’ll see.

And this team is SO YOUNG. We keep the QB play up from year to year and this class will win a title.

Period.

Book it.

Check my stats.
