As I get older, I question whether you get anything out of games like this?
Obviously it’s a game that fans can enjoy and you get the proceeds from a home game, but I’m talking about from a purely football standpoint.
Do these games even help?

It gets the grunts into the gane to get them some experience playing time.

Before the transfer portal era I wholeheartedly agreed, these types of games were 100% unnecessary but for a team like this where the offense needs reps to come together I don’t mind it.

They will eventually do away with these games during regular season. Need to play these teams during Spring in a Exhibition game and still throw them a little dough for showing up...
