Yeh I think they throw those in to keep them up tight.

I see it as strategic play calling. It is kind of like a boxer working the torso until the opponent starts protecting the gut, then you go for the head shots.
Or, it could be that some plays need real game testing and rehearsing for future opponents.

Both of your points are credible but I hope that the second part is true. If those bumble screens don’t work against ETSU they stand a snowballs chance in hell against Georgia. Scrap em.

Looking good TN! Many of you here know me and know I’m not full of BS when I say this, you guys should feel pretty good about hosting my Dawgs next weekend. I kid you not, our OC Bobo is terrible! Defense will likely keep us in the game for awhile, but Bobo is awful so far…….again!!!! We have some studs on offense, but if we play like we’ve played so far, you guys will embarrass us in Neyland.

Granted, I’m pissed at Bobo as I write this, but I honestly believe this.

Pretty sure GA will look like a different team next week. That said, I agree that you guys could do better than Bobo for OC.

Games like this are good because it gives the youngesters a chance to sneak down to the better seats once everyone leaves to get to Cracker Barrel early in the third quarter.

Waited until 1 second on the play clock and then did the decoy clap. If we jump they get 1st. If not they take a penalty and punt. That's pretty smart actually. Eveyone thinks it'll definitely be a snap because of the play clock.
