He got popped for a failed drug test (not the first one he failed either, on his last warning) leading up to the season. We are not in the same position as these guys. If we had an opportunity to play in the NFL I think the majority of us would have had the discipline to lay of the stank for a few months until we got drafted.can't remember, i was dumber than he was back then
i MIGHT have made it long enough to get a rookie contract. But giving me that kinda money? i wouldn't even be aliveHe got popped for a failed drug test (not the first one he failed either, on his last warning) leading up to the season. Agree with you in many ways.I feel like we are dumping too hard on Nico the kid. Nico the product made a bad choice (using family as representation) It is very very very rare that people can use their parents/friends as their representation and it work out well. Yes there are cases where it worked but for every one of those there are thousands of cautionary tales. Its a lot like representing yourself in a trail.
Nico followed bad advice. But Nico is not a bad talent. He has al lthe talent in the world and most QB's would look bad on that team. They did not lose that game because of Nico... in fact it could be said what little offensive success they had was because of him and him alone.
Da'rick is right, bad fit. He is way more talented than Joey Swag but its addition by substraction. Joey is a better QB at this point in time than Nico and thats not all that surprising he's played a LOT of football. He is a better fit for this team. I really hope NIco himself does not become a cautionary tale though the Nico situation already is. Lets seperate the 2 things? I think hes a good kid that took bad advice.
If you were guaranteed to be a 1st round pick in 2013 then you would have made no less than $6.7M after 4 years. You’re meaning to tell me you would throw away $7M to have one night of fun? GTFOi MIGHT have made it long enough to get a rookie contract. But giving me that kinda money? i wouldn't even be alive
Doesn’t matter what you think is dumb. We all think it is dumb. The rules were the rules and he was warned MULTIPLE times that he needed to stay clean or else he could no longer be at Tennessee and he still chose weed over the himself and the team. About as dumb as it gets whenever it is spelled out for you like that.i don' know. I think suspending players for weed is dumb. But I freely admit I am in the minority opinion on that issue.
