Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

This was my fav:

Sunrise Sampler®

920 cal

Two farm fresh eggs* served with grits, Fried Apples, and Hashbrown Casserole plus a sampling of Thick-Sliced Bacon, Smoked Sausage and Country Ham. Comes with Buttermilk Biscuits (160 cal each) and Sawmill Gravy (160 cal).

They took that off the menu. Don't think I'd go to Cracker Barell for a burger.

Yeah, I normally got a meat and two. But this timeI wanted a burger. They were much much better at the time than fast food burgers.

So December window Boo is gone - got it.
I am so freaking sick of this 🦬💩....if he isn't on that same wavelength, then he needs to SAY so and disavow the 💩 she spews.

I f'n hate this stupid pathetic selfish 🦬💩...

I wish she would just stfu, and I wish he would just gtho if that is what he wants..I sure don't want him on our team IF this is what he is.

This level of toxic cancerous self-centered garbage 100% will absolutely hurt team chemistry...bad apples do what they do.

I hope he isn't thinking like her...but I ain't seeing nothing from him that makes me think he isn't...

Pretty surprising how bad we've been at taking sacks the last decade. HH 2021 was actually our worst (36 sacks). And that is by rate, not volume. Meanwhile, we had the #7 offensive scoring...😁

Dooley years we were top-25 consistently (well, 2 years, no data prior to 2011). Even #1 one year. A lot of good that did us!

Unless we can recruit top-5 OL classes consistently, there will be give and take. We want to take long shots AND heavily prioritize the run. Many OL won't be equally good at both. And your best blocking back is often not your best RB weapon.

I'd say we're doing quite fine though 😆

[Year] - [Sacks Taken Percentage] - [Off PPG]

2011 - 25th - 108th
2012 - 1st - 26th
2013 - 23rd - 97th
2014 - 111th - 68th
2015 - 64th - 34th
2016 - 76th - 29th
2017 - 120th - 118th
2018 - 75th - 119th
2019 - 57th - 101st
2020 - 112th - 108th
2021 - 123rd - 7th
2022 - 61st - 1st
2023 - 57th - 28th
2024 - 97th - 26th

And dare I say we're entering a period of better OL crootin as well. The best times are ahead of us gals and gents 😎

And we lost AR.... if this is true there is not enough disdain in the universe for him

Tell me one game we won last year because we had Nico at QB. Then, tell me how many games we lost because of Nico.

Arkansas was when I realized that Nico is an athlete, but he’s not a leader. Leaders win the ones the matter, athletes just go out and play to do whatever.

Respect to Donnie79. He’s just trying to help his dad out and he’s being respectable by establishing a clear set of standards: pretty, over 50, and must be willing to meet a random man in his motorhome after reading about said man on a sports forum.

I see nothing wrong with that.

Ty Chandler could be. Baron left for money
I consider Chandler a VFL. 4 years, degree, stuck around the worst era in UT history. Spent his covid year as the top dog for a lesser program in the ACC. I bet he considers himself a VFL.

Baron always felt like a mercenary. His dad and brother were Hokies, and he was a Tech commit initially I believe. Came to UT iirc bc Pruitt hired his dad and wrote a fat check. Chased raises the every year and threatened transferring until we called his bluff. Did he spend 4 years and get a degree? I think so. But it feels different.

Ultimately its down to how those guys feel. Idk if Baron has any loyalty to the Vols. Meanwhile there's guys like DaRick Rogers who still consider themselves Vols who didn't finish here or get a degree. 🤷

Hot take but I have a hunch there's guys who were star players and ended their careers here who don't give two poops about UT at the end of the day.
